THE HALDEMAN MANSION
The Haldeman Mansion is the birthplace of Professor Samuel S. Haldeman, an internationally recognized naturalist, philologist, linquist and scientist. He helped write the Webster's dictionary and was good friends with Sigmund Freud and Charles Darwin. The Haldeman Mansion was build above the ruins of a Conoy Indian village in the 1700s and sits only a few yards from a Conoy Indian Burial ground. Many Paranormal Investigators have recorded the disembodied voices and EVP of children and adults as well as footsteps and occasionally observing anomilous shadow figures throughout the mansion and Summer kitchen. Could the disembodied voices, footsteps and shadowy figures be that of the children who died at the mansion or that of the unknown people buried in the Haldeman grave yard located just down the road from the mansion?
